Are you interested in undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship?
Becoming a Modern Apprentice (MA) is a great way to progress into paid employment, receive valuable practical hands on experience while working towards a nationally recognised vocational qualification (SVQ)
Who pays for my Apprenticeship?
The employer and Skills Development Scotland (SDS) will meet the cost of your SVQ training and development. During your apprenticeship you can expect to receive an allowance of at least £3.90 per hour
What sort of training can I expect?
Once you have started with your new employer you will be given help and encouragement to learn new skills while working alongside experienced staff. A qualified Vocational Assessor from R T Resources Ltd will visit you regularly in the workplace, check progress with your employer and when appropriate will assess your ability to carry out tasks to the standard required.
What happens when my Apprenticeship ends?
Whilst in placement you are of course in an ideal position to show a potential employer that you are the best person to recruit for any forthcoming vacancies.
You are proving this by developing your knowledge of the industry and working towards a nationally recognised qualification at the same time.
Many MA candidates progress to full time employment on completion of their apprenticeship.
