All Children and Young people centres need staff who are able to deliver a high quality standard of care.  It is important that staff employed in this area are properly trained in the skills and knowledge required to enhance the life of children and young people they support.

RT Resources Ltd can offer the Social Services Children and Young People SVQ at various levels whilst you are working in a local Children or Young persons Centre.

The Social Services Children and Young People SVQ has been developed for candidates working in a variety of young people and children settings.  Topics covered include Health and Safety, First Aid, Promoting the Safeguarding of children and young people, Communication and many others.  This qualification is achieved in the workplace and is based on ongoing assessment of the new skills and knowledge as you acquire them.

Qualification commences with a two day induction to the SVQ process and portfolio building.

Assessments take place within the workplace. One to one support is provided throughout.

Candidates build up a portfolio of evidence which meets the Awarding Body Criteria.
